What does VIMA full insurance with €0 excess (Premium) cover?
- Collision damage: Full coverage for damages caused to the vehicle in case of an accident.
- Theft protection: Coverage in case the rental vehicle is stolen.
- Tyres, mirrors, and windscreen: Insurance also covers damage to tyres, mirrors, and the windscreen.
What is the minimum age to rent a car from VIMA?
- Minimum age: 19 years with at least 1 year of driving licence. Maximum age: 84 years.
- Drivers aged 19–23 (young drivers): surcharge of €9.00/day.
Is a credit card required to rent a car?
No deposit or fuel prepayment is required. A credit card is normally requested as a security measure for the fuel, but no charges are made at pick-up.
If you don't have a credit card, you can select the "Rental without credit card" option during booking – it only costs €5/day and gives you full flexibility.
When do I have to pay the rental fee?
You can either pay online (and get an extra 10% discount), or pay on-site by card at pick-up – whichever suits you best.
Who is allowed to drive the rental vehicle?
Only individuals listed in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle.
What happens if damage is caused to the rental car?
You must fill out the accident report form and inform VIMA within 24 hours. If another vehicle is involved and won't cooperate, call the police. Never admit fault on-site.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
No additional charge as long as you arrive within office hours (08:00–22:00). Staff will monitor your flight, but please let them know if your delay exceeds 30 minutes.
For deliveries between 21:30 and 07:30 there is an extra charge of €39.
Can I cancel my reservation free of charge?
With the Premium package, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
When is the best time to book?
Book as soon as your travel dates are confirmed. However, check prices regularly – the free cancellation option allows you to rebook at a better rate if prices drop.
